Natural Elegance

She looked so elegant in the late spring evening light, I think it was the drape of her shawl and her headscarf. Her mode of transport, the clothes she has chosen, I expect this lady is quietly elegant in the rest of her life too.

i lovelovelove her head scarf. i wonder if bobby pins will be enough to secure it in the wind tunnels of san francisco. i find that my hair so thin that the pins tend to not really secure scarves to my head.

calitexican, I wouldn't bother with bobby pins. They hurt my head eventually anyway.

If you *really* want to keep a headscarf on, get a thin metal hair comb and delicately sew the scarf to it, using tiny stitches.

ooh, good idea! i'll try one out. i usually wear them so tight they hurt my head, then i don't end up wearing them. and when they are on tight, they still slip off my head. so counter productive.

thanks for the tip :-)

What a great stance! I was bike browsing last weekend and this lady kept complaining that she couldn't put her foot flat on the ground when stopped (and still stay in the saddle). I told her that she just needs to get on the toes, and that when she rides, it's better to have good leg extension!
